Board Member
Andy joined the Board in January 2024.
Andy proudly served in the Royal Navy for nearly 25 years in a variety of appointments at sea and ashore including roles involved with warship design & build, defence intelligence, and budget & policy setting. Then followed commercial board roles focussing on financial management and programme management with police forces and the security services, and as an Exec Director in the rail sector, procuring new trains. Andy hopes to use this broad experience to support the whole team to protect and make available the beautiful River Dart for all users now, and all those in the future.
Having raced dinghies and yachts from childhood, Andy loves being on the water, and now enjoys cruising from the Dart. He lives in Dartmouth and works on the river as a Dart Harbour Yacht Taxi coxswain and is also an RYA powerboat instructor and on-call firefighter.
