Towns and Villages on the Dart
Dartmouth
Dartmouth is a market town with a good variety of shops including supermarkets (both in the town centre and on the outskirts), post office, chemists, optician, launderette, hairdressers, bakers, butchers, clothing outlets, pubs, restaurants, art galleries, gift shops. Banking is limited in Dartmouth with mobile banking facilities (Lloyds) and a branch of the Yorkshire Building Society. ATM cash machines can be found in several local shops and the post office. Totnes
Totnes is an interesting market town, famous for it’s alternative lifestyle and independent shops and businesses. There is a good variety of shops including supermarkets, post office, chemists, bakers, butchers, pubs, restaurants, health food shops, clothing and interesting shops. There is a branch of Lloyds bank.
Kingswear
Kingswear, is a small village opposite Dartmouth. There is a post office, a village stores, pubs and yacht club.
Dittisham
Dittisham has a post office/stores and local pubs.
Stoke Gabriel
Stoke Gabriel has a riverside cafe, pubs and a post office/village store.
Galmpton
Galmpton has a pub and post office/village store.

Brixham is a small port, famous for its fishing fleet. There are good town facilities here including supermarkets, post office, chemists and butchers.

Paignton is a larger town with good town facilities including supermarkets, post office, banks (Santander, Lloyds, HSBC, NatWest, Halifax, Nationwide, Yorkshire Building Society).
