LNTM 28-22 – BRNC Sandquay exclusion area

Due to structural defects on the piers at Sandquay, Dart Harbour in conjunction with Britannia Royal Naval College advise that all areas within 5m of all quay walls, piers and pontoons in Sandquay are not to be entered until further notice, and no landing or mooring may occur at these facilities.  It is also not permitted for vessels to pass inshore of HMS Hindostan, or underneath the Sandquay jetty. This restriction does not include the three island pontoons moored off Old Mill Creek, or the northernmost floating pontoon at Sandquay.  The below diagram shows the restricted area

Please note that this is a temporary restriction until the Jetty is made safe. Dart Harbour is working with BRNC to resolve the situation as rapidly as possible, and to restore access, particularly for small craft wanting to keep close inshore.
