LNTM 02-25 – Double Steps Pontoon Maintenance
All mariners are advised that Double Steps Pontoon will be out of service for a few days from Wednesday 15th January 2025 due to essential maintenance.
The outer section of Double Steps Pontoon will remain in place as an island pontoon until maintenance is completed. Navigation lights will remain as normal.
There will be towage works taking place in the vicinity of Double Steps as we remove then replace pontoon sections – please keep well clear and do not make wash in this area.
- The Yacht Taxi and Dittisham Ferry will run from the new easy access pontoon inside Town Jetty.
- Short Stay Dinghy landing facilities are available on the outside of DA pontoon (This is the visitor pontoon located of coronation park, south of the Higher Ferry) and at Dartmouth Dinghy Rack.
- Small Fishing boats can land on the new easy access pontoon inside Town Jetty when space is available.
- Dinghies currently moored on Double Steps Pontoon will be moved to the outer island section of double steps, which can be accessed using the Yacht Taxi. If you do not need your dinghy over the next few days it can remain there, otherwise you are welcome to move them to DA pontoon if preferred – we are calling all owners of boats with identification individually to make arrangements, or call the harbour office.
